Lizbeth Benacquisto to hold campaign kickoff cookout June 14

Florida Senate Majority leader Lizbeth Benacquisto is hosting a kick-off event in downtown Fort Myers for her re-election bid for the Senate District 30 seat.

The combination cookout/fundraiser, to raise awareness of the cityโ€™s Caloosahatchee River, will be Saturday, June 14 at Centennial Park Fort Myers, starting at 10: 30 a.m.

Benacquisto, recently named to serve on the Executive Committee of the Republican Legislative Campaign Committee (RLCC), faces both Republican Thomas Mark LePine and Michael Dreikorn in the GOP primary for the district covering Fort Myers and parts of Charlotte and Lee Counties.
