Lois Frankel raises over $110K in first quarter fundraising

U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel announced raising more than $110,000 in the first quarter reporting period from January 1 to March 31.

In a statement released by her campaign Tuesday, the first term West Palm Beach Democrat and former longtime West Palm Beach mayor now has a total of about $350,000 cash on hand for her Florida 22nd Congressional District re-election effort.

Frankel currently serves on both the Transportation and Infrastructure and the Foreign Affairs Committees, and is chair of the DCCC’s Women LEAD program, created to recruit more women in the democratic process and the U.S. House.

Three Republicans are seeking the GOP nomination against Frankel: Andrea Leigh McGee, Jeremy Rodgers and David Wagie. However, after defeating former State Rep. Adam Hasner, a GOP leader, by nine percent for the newly drawn CD 22 seat in 2012, the GOP might have to look elsewhere for an easy pickup in the midterms.
