As my colleague Linda Hersey writes, with dozens of restaurants, and entertainment from top artists likeBonnie Raitt,Buddy Guy andChris Isaak, the annual Taste of Pinellas is one of the parties of the year in St. Petersburg. Why then have I lost my appetite for ?aste of Pinellas? I think it? because the restaurants featured at ?aste of Pinellas?are either chain establishments which could be part of Taste-of-fill-in-the-blank or they are restos located RIGHT NEXT to where ?aste of Pinellas?is hosted. 400 Beach.Bella Brava.Central Avenue Oyster Bar andFresco’s. These are all restaurants located right next door to ?ate of Pinellas.?(Well, Oyster Bar is actually a stone? throw, but you see my point). Who that would go to ?aste of Pinellas?has not already been to Parkshore Grill or Cassis or Moon Under Water? What you won? see at ?aste of Pinellas?are many of the culinarily-interesting restaurants not big enough to afford setting up shop at ToP. That? why they? be better off calling the event ?aste of Beach Drive.?]>
