U.S. Senator Marco Rubio will lay out his plans for strengthening retirement security for Americans.

The speech from the prospective Republican 2016 presidential candidate will begin 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13 at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.

The Florida Republican will propose innovative reforms to strengthen Social Security and Medicare entitlement programs, as well as outline plans to make it easier for younger Americans to save for retirement, and eliminate financial penalties on Americans who continue to work past retirement age.

Rubio’s speech is the latest in a series of policy proposals highlighting reforms in poverty, higher education and economic growth.
