Marco Rubio talks tough on terrorism in first TV ad

Marco Rubio is set to unveil his first television ad of his presidential campaign, and it’s all about showing that he can be commander-in-chief as he discusses the battle between the west and the Islamic State.

“What happened in Paris could happen here,” the Florida senator says in the ad. “There is no middle ground. These aren’t disgruntled or disempowered people. These are radical terrorists who want to kill us, because we let women drive, because we let girls go to school.”

Conservative Solutions PAC, Rubio’s super PAC, announced late last month that they would air their first as TV ad advocating for his candidacy, but this is the first ad from the campaign itself.

The ad begins airing nationally starting on Tuesday.
