Mark Delegal, John Holley advance to TallyMadness championship

in Apolitical/Top Headlines by

After an absolute barn burner of a TallyMadness Final Four, the annual online voting contest to determine Tallahassee’s “best” lobbyist finally draws near its close.

Our glorious grand finale: a matchup for all the marbles between Holland & Knight’s Mark Delegal and John Holley with Florida Power & Light.

#3 seed Mark Delegal has lit up the virtual voting booth like no other candidate in this year’s tournament, amassing hundreds of thousands of votes on his way to victories of serious adversaries Marty FiorentinoAndy Palmer, Brian Ballard and Rob Book on his way to the Championship round.

But the one constant in this year’s tourney has been unpredictable flux. No lead or favorable ranking has been safe, as Delegal’s run attests.

That means it’s anyone’s game as #11 seed John Holley steps up to the plate in TallyMadness 2015’s final round. Holley has also taken down some giants on his path to the finals, besting Travis BlantonSlater BaylissBrecht Heuchan and Robert Coker along the way.

But history goes out the window in the late going, particularly in the championship and this one is as up for grabs as one of those licenses to manufacture Charlotte’s Web.

Voting for who will take home the ultimate TallyMadness prize goes from now until midnight on Thursday. The winner will be announced in Friday’s Sunburn.
