Senate President Mike Haridopolos expects a Medicaid-overhaul bill to go to the Senate floor Wednesday and said he thinks it will reflect a ?rue compromise?with the House. Haridopolos made the comments late Tuesday, amid behind-the-scenes negotiations designed to revamp the $20 billion health-care system for the poor, reports the News Service of Florida. The House has already approved its version of the bill, but the Senate has not. House and Senate Republican leaders agree that almost all Medicaid beneficiaries should enroll in managed-care plans, though they disagree on numerous details. Haridopolos, R-Merritt Island, did not disclose how those disagreements would be resolved. Earlier, House sponsor Rob Schenck, R-Spring Hill, also declined to offer details, only saying, ?e?e talking.?]>
