Kendrick Meek open to debates with Jeff Greene — but not every 2 weeks

in Statewide by

Billionaire Jeff Greene challenged U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, his chief rival for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination, to hold a series of bi-weekly debates throughout the summer.

Meek said he was open to debates but not as many as Greene was calling for.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to discuss the critical issues facing Floridians with Jeff Greene and am more than happy to debate him,” said Meek. “However, I am focused on spending my time speaking with everyday Floridians about how we can create a better Florida and build up what others have torn down.”
