Meet Dan Barrow – one of the “30 under 30” rising stars in Florida politics

in Uncategorized by

Why is Dan Barrow on a  list of the “30 under 30” rising stars in Florida politics? Because Scott Dudley, David Johnson, and Adam Hasner says so. When three politicos of Dudley, Johnson, and Hasner’s caliber say a guy belongs on the list, you pretty much pencil in his name. That Barrow works at Enwright Consulting, one of the state’s leading political consulting firms — one that doesn’t go around touting its innumerable successes — is just another reason to find room for Barrow.

Here is Dan in his own words:

I am 26 years-young.

I live in Tallahassee, FL… Am from Atlanta, GA…. I went to Florida State University. I hope to visit Thailand soon enough.

I entered politics because my dad always told me to decide what I like to do, then find a way to make a living doing it

One principle I always put above politics is loyalty.

Person or people who gave me my first shot: Former Rep. Fred Costello.

I’ve already worked for/on: The Fiorentino Group, Republican Party of Florida, Rep. Fred Costello, Fred Costello for Congress, Adam Hasner for US House, Enwright Consulting

When I begin a project or first work on a campaign, I look for a ground game and a candidate willing to knock on a ton of doors.

I’ve been blessed to have these people as my mentors: Jim Rimes, Randy Enwright, Nick Hansen

The people I most admire in politics are the staff that keep the legislature moving,

One lesson I’ve already learned is that your word is everything. People that aren’t trusted don’t last long in politics.

If I wasn’t working in politics, I’d be working in … Journalism, or I’d be a high school History teacher.

In ten years, you’ll read about me still consulting and enjoying life.
