Mike Moore announced the endorsement of Pasco County Property Appraiser, Mike Wells, in his bid for Pasco County Commissioner Campaign.
“Once in a great while an experienced business leader steps forward for the good of his community,” said Wells in a statement. “Mike Moore is one such man.”
“I enthusiastically ask my friends and supporters to get behind Mike for the District 2 County Commission seat,” Wells added. “I know he will do a good job.”
In addition to Wells, Moore also received endorsements from Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco, House Speaker Will Weatherford and Commissioner Jack Mariano for the primary against Bob Robertson. The winner of that contest will go to the general election to decide who will replace departing Republican Pat Mulieri.
In March 2013, Weatherford appointed Moore to serve on the Department of Elder Affairs Advisory Council, which assists legislators on behalf of the House of Representatives.
Moore owns Wesley Chapel-based VR Business Sales and Mergers & Acquisitions, and founded CareFirst Home Care a company providing the elderly with home health services. Moore sold CareFirst in 2011.
“I am deeply honored and humbled to receive the endorsement of Mike Wells,” said Moore. “Mr. Wells is one of the most impressive public servants I’ve ever met.”
“He is very well respected for the way he runs the property appraisers office with the upmost efficiency,” he added, “while always looking out for the taxpayers’ dollars.”
