More than 150,000 have already cast ballot in Pinellas

Including mail voting and early voting, more than 150,000 people in Pinellas County have voted already for the Nov. 6 general election.

According to the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections, 7,538 registered voters took advantage of early voting, which began on Saturday.

Thousands more of Pinellas County voters have taken advantage of mail-in voting, which has seen 144,343 ballots sent in. That represents 48 percent of the 298,764 people who requested mail ballots.

Through Sunday evening, 60,456 registered Democrats have voted while 62,007 registered Republicans have voted in Pinellas County.

In total, there are 626,348 registered voters in Pinellas and 151,881 have cast their ballot, which is a 24 percent turnout.
