Struggling for support, at least when compared to likely Democratic nominee Charlie Crist, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Nan Rich received state matching funds of $189,151 between July 26 and Aug. 1, according to the most-recent campaign finance reports. Matching funds made up nearly all of the $198,835 in contributions received by Rich in the weeklong reporting period.
Rich now has brought in $626,672 total as of Aug. 1, and spent $341,726.
“Citizens for a Progressive Florida,” the committee supporting Rich’s campaign, has raised $140,315 as of Aug. 1.
In contrast, Crist’s campaign has amassed nearly $4.9 million, and his associated committee is at $13.1 million.
