Both Democratic gubernatorial candidate Nan Rich and her accompanying political committee raised about $50,000 in total for May, far smaller numbers than those raised by rivals Democrat Charlie Crist and Republican incumbent Gov. Rick Scott.
With $29,853 coming in last month to her direct campaign account, the Weston Democrat has collected a total of $378,658, according to reports filed with the state Division of Elections.
Rich, a former Senate minority leader, also reported $245,240 in in-kind contributions, mostly from the Florida Democratic Party to cover staffing and other expenses.
Citizens for a Progressive Florida, Rich’s political committee, added $20,000 in May, for a total of $112,815 overall.
