Nancy Soderberg outraises Aaron Bean in SD 4

Jacksonville Beach Democrat Nancy Soderberg collected $43,215 in contributions between Sept. 29 and Oct. 12, slightly outraising Republican Aaron Bean in Senate District 4, according to finance reports via the News Service of Florida.

Soderberg, a university professor and former national-security official in the Clinton administration, has raised an overall total of $198,270. Bean, a former House member from Fernandina Beach, collected $39,425 during the two-week period, bringing his overall total to $636,482. Bean, who won a tough primary over Rep. Mike Weinstein, reported having about $72,000 on hand, while Soderberg had about $20,000.
