Nat’l Journal, Univision & ABC feature Rick Perry, Mario Diaz-Balart in RNC event on Wed. focused on Hispanics & American Politics

On Wednesday, National Journal, Univision News and ABC News are partnering to produce “The Republican Party in Tomorrow’s America: The Hispanic Surge and the New Landscape of American Politics,” a premier event at the Republican National Convention, engaging leaders on the demographic revolution that is remaking the face of America.

The invitation-only event will feature Governor Rick Perry and Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, and Republican strategists Whit Ayres and Ana Navarro examining howgrowth in the Hispanic community and other key demographic trends are dramatically shifting U.S. policy and politics. The event will be moderated by National Journal’sRonald Brownstein, Univision News’ Jorge Ramos, and ABC News’ Diane Sawyer.

Univision News and ABC News recently announced a joint venture to create a digital and cable television network to serve, inspire, and empower the U.S. Hispanic community with culturally relevant programming in English. Together, all three news organizations will explore what these monumental demographic changes mean for each political party, the country-at-large, and the 2012 races.
