American Crossroads is putting $2-million behind a new ad running in Florida, seizing on this Tampa Bay Times story about US Sen. Bill Nelson having taken advantage of Florida’s “greenbelt” law to lower the tax value of land used for cattle. “…Nelson’s situation is legal but nonetheless cuts to a long-running debate over Florida’s “greenbelt” law, originally intended to give farmers a break as the state modernized,” the story said.
