New Jeb Bush video shows Donald Trump heaping praise on Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton in 2008

Jeb Bush is helping Donald Trump celebrate an anniversary, but it’s one that the Republican presidential front-runner might rather forget.

Seven years ago, Dec. 18, 2008, Trump – in an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer – was heaping praise on newly elected president Barack Obama, saying he was “doing great,” and that his choice of Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State was “a great appointment.”

He also heaped praise on Obama’s selection of Environmental Protection Agency chief Lisa Jackson, saying he knows her, “very well” because he does a lot of business in New Jersey.

“She’s a brilliant person, a great environmental person,” Trump said. “And that’s going to be an amazing appointment.”

Bush, who has been in a war of words with Trump for months on the campaign trail, released a new video Friday that features the CNN comments, wishing The Donald a happy anniversary.

Of course, Trump has been lately blasting both Obama and Clinton at every opportunity over what he calls a lack of leadership on national security issues; his position is a 180-degree turnaround from seven years ago.

Bush is also promoting another 60-second video, this one taken from the recent CNN Republican presidential debate, which has Bush blasting Trump with accusations that his presidential campaign is “chaotic and wrong,” about issues like ISIS and Syria, as well as other national security matters.

That clip portrays Trump as being all over the map on his policy for dealing with the Islamic State.

Both the anniversary video, and “Chaotic and Wrong” are available on YouTube.
