Democrat Charlie Crist leads Republican Rick Scott, 50 percent to 38 percent, according to a new poll of the Florida gubernatorial race by Democratic firm Public Policy Polling. Twelve percent are undecided, the survey found.
Incumbent Scott’s approval rating stands at 33 percent approve, 55 percent disapprove, while Crist’s favorables-unfavorables are about even at 43-42.
Scott is essentially tied with declared Democratic candidate Nan Rich, 37-36, the survey found.
PPP surveyed 579 voters from Sept. 27 to 29, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.1 percentage points.
