Activity slows down on one of St. Petersburg’s busier downtown streets Monday, November 14, when Central Ave. between Second and Third Sts. N. closes to host Tampa Bay’s Fastest Bartender competition. Central Ave. closes to traffic between 2:30 and 11 p.m. for Monday’s block party-style event, hosted by The Garden Restaurant. In addition to finding the Bay Area mixologist who serves up the best tasting, most creative drink in a snap, the 4 to 10 p.m. event also features live music and food from area restaurants.

Event participants are encouraged to utilize the BayWalk garage, a short distance away from the block party at 117 Second Ave. N.
