The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund and Unified Sportsmen of Florida announced its support of state Senate Majority Leader Lizbeth Benacquisto in her re-election effort in Senate District 30.

In giving the Fort Myers Republican an “A+” rating — the highest grade possible for support of Second Amendment, self-defense, and anti-crime issues — Unified Sportsmen of Florida Executive Director Marion Hammer said: “Your active support of issues that are important to firearms owners has been outstanding. Your pro-sportsmen, pro-Second Amendment, pro-Freedom record has earned you our endorsement and our gratitude.”

“No other candidate in this race has the background of dedicated legislative service that you have demonstrated to the cause of Freedom, the Second Amendment and protection of Constitutional Rights,” Hammer added.

Lizbeth Benacquisto, recently named to serve on the Executive Committee of the Republican Legislative Campaign Committee (RLCC), faces Republican Michael Dreikorn in the GOP primary to represent Fort Myers and parts of Charlotte and Lee Counties.
