NRCC launches attack web video against Alex Sink

And so it begins…

The deluge of attack ads in the special election in Florida’s 13th Congressional District is now officially underway as the National Republican Congressional Committee has launched a negative spot against Alex Sink.

The NRCC is hitting Sink on “her wasteful ways as CFO of Florida.”

According to a release, the web video says CFO Alex Sink used a taxpayer-funded jet as her own, cruising around the state and using it to get to vacation sites and even political events.

“Alex Sink owes the families of Pinellas an explanation on why she wasted their taxpayer dollars as CFO of the state,” said NRCC spokeswoman Katie Prill. “It’s troubling that Sink spent over $400,000 of Florida families’ money to jet around in a taxpayer funded plane – even using it for personal use and for political campaign events. Now Sink is trying to hide her shameful record in Florida so she can join Nancy Pelosi in Congress.”

The spot is a pretty good one, in my estimation. Crisp footage and graphics. Solid production values. Sharp, concise messaging.
