As President Obama’s campaign continues to expand its grassroots efforts and empower volunteers to organize in their communities, OFA-Florida moved into the new state headquarters today in Tampa.
OFA-Florida’s state leadership team will be based at this new headquarters, which is located at 1215 E 6th Street Avenue in Tampa’s Ybor City neighborhood. The previous headquarters at 1702 N 14th Street will serve as a base for volunteer activities and voter outreach efforts for Tampa.
“Since the 2008 election cycle, our volunteers have been on the ground working to rally Floridians in support of President Obama. Now, as we open our new Florida Headquarters and expand our organizing efforts to help re-elect the President in November, we continue to build our organization all across the state in a way that reflects the vibrant diversity of Florida,” said Obama for America State Director Ashley Walker. “By empowering volunteers to organize their communities in support of President Obama, our grassroots army will ensure that all Floridians know about how the President is fighting to reclaim middle class security by ensuring that we have an economy that is built to last.”
This is the 12th OFA-Florida office to be opened in the Sunshine State, including in Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Orlando, St. Petersburg, and Tampa, as well as offices in Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
