Oops! Who knew Steve Southerland was running for the U.S. Senate?

U.S. Rep. Steve Southerland is locked in one of the most closely watched congressional races in the country as he tries to fend off a challenge from Democrat Gwen Graham. The race is for a seat in the U.S. House. Just don’t tell that to the good folks at Safari Club International, which is responsible for the mailer pictured to the right touting Southerland for, um, the U.S. Senate. The postcard started arriving in north Florida mailboxes this week.

While hunters may indeed more of their kind in the U.S. Senate, Southerland isn’t running for the upper chamber. Not yet at least.

The Safari Club International may want to ask for a refund from their direct mail design shop.
