Do you remember Andy Martin? He’s the Internet crank who is infamous for being the source of the phony claim that President Obama is not an American citizen. Martin is also a raving anti-semite who once called a judge “a crooked Jew”.
Well, Martin is also a perennial candidate in Illinois elections and he was on the ballot Tuesday night in the GOP primary for U.S. Senate.
He got 5.1% of the vote. That wasn’t enough to win, of course, but enough to let you know the kind of man some in the Republican base are more than willing to vote for. (h/t to Oliver Willis)
