Former state senator and current senate candidate Jack Latvala is proud to announce his endorsement by The Florida Police Benevolent Association, Inc. and the Sun Coast Police Benevolent Association.
“We will ask our members, their friends and families- and all citizens in the district who represent the strong and efficient enforcement of our laws, to cast their ballots in support of Jack Latvala,” said the letter from David Murrell, Executive Director of Florida PBA.
“There is no endorsement more important to me than one from the men and women who keep our families safe on a daily basis. I look forward to fighting for them and the entire Tampa Bay region in the Florida Senate,” Latvala said.
“I am very proud that during my time in the Senate from 1994-2002, the crime rate in Florida actually declined by 34%. This was in large part due to measures we enacted which require persons convicted of crimes to serve 85% of their sentences, the 10-20-Life legislation which stiffened the penalties for those convicted of using a firearm in the commission of a crime, and the ‘Three Strikes’ legislation that keeps career criminals behind bars,” added Latvala.
