Personnel note: Chester Spellman, Scott’s Appointments Director, to lead Volunteer Florida, will be replaced by Hannah Causseaux

Chester Spellman, director of appointments for Gov. Rick Scott, will become chief executive officer of Volunteer Florida beginning May 11. as its chief executive officer. Chester will continue to serve as director until May 1. Scott hired Hannah Causseaux, who served in House Speaker Dean Cannon’s office, to take over Spellman’s duties as appointments director. “Chester has been an integral part of my team and has been a tremendous asset in helping me identify highly qualified individuals to serve on various boards throughout the state,” Scott said in a statement. “Chester was an effective member of my campaign, inaugural activities and has more than 10 years of experience in leading non-profit organizations focused on youth development, education and mentoring.”
