One of the Florida Legislature’s best heads of hair is exiting the stage.

Dan Dawson, Press Secretary for the Senate Majority Office, is leaving the capital to become Communications Director for the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, where he will work under Rep. Daniel Davis.

“Jacksonville is my home town, so after considering the opportunity and praying for guidance I decided to accept the position,” Dawson emails.

Britton Alexander, who has worked closely with Katie Betta will take over as the Majority Office’s Press Secretary, while Harold Hedrick will head up the new media end of the spectrum as the Majority Office’s Press Coordinator.

Dawson’s — and his hair’s — last day is Friday.
