Johns Hopkins All Childrenās Hospital announced Friday that Sylvia Ameen will serve as the hospitalās new Vice President of Marketing and Communications starting July 1.
Ameen is currently working as All Childrenās interim chief marketing officer and has been involved with the hospital and its foundation since 1989, and has handled tasks from managing gift portfolios to board engagement during her tenure. She also directed the $75 million capital campaign for the construction of the new hospital building, which opened in 2010.

Ameen is an alumna of Eckerd University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts, and is also a certified fundraising executive. Throughout her career, she has been active in the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, the St. Petersburg Suncoasters and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay. Most recently, she joined the board of the St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership, which focuses on the cityās economic development.
