John Lucas is the new press secretary in Attorney General Pam Bondi’s office. Lucas previously worked in television, heading up the Associated Press’ TV operation in Tallahassee from 2002 to 2009 and before that was bureau chief for the Florida News Network from 1993 to 2002. Before that, Lucas was an anchor at WCJB in Gainesville and a reporter for WTXL in Tallahassee. He also had a stint at the National Federation for Independent Business.
A West Virginia grad (the Mountaineers), Lucas replaces Jennifer Krell Davis, who is now at the Florida Ports Council.
