The personnel notes are starting to come in fast and furious.

The latest is news from newly-elected Senator Aaron Bean and sophomore State Representative Dana Young.

Young’s former senior staffer, James Kotas, has been tapped by Bean to serve as his Chief of Staff.

Moving up to replace Kotas in Young’s office is Sydney Ridley, who is fresh off campaign victories in the senate campaigns of Jeff Brandes and Dorothy Hukill. Officially, Ridley will be Young’s chief Legislative Aide.

Melonie Hoyt, with over 20 years of experience in the legislative process (including long tenures with two former representatives) will run Rep. Young’s district office as District Aide.
Gloria Perez will join Young’s team to assist with constituent outreach and work associated with the Hillsborough Legislative Delegation which Young will be chairing this year.
“I am excited about my staff and ready to get to work,” Represenative Young told me via email.
