Personnel note: US Rep. Bill Posey names Stuart Burns chief of staff

A veteran of more than two decades of governmental service has been named chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Bill Posey of Rockledge.

Stuart Burns, 45, succeeds Tonnie Wybensinger as Posey’s top adviser in Washington, the Republican congressman announced.

Burns previously served in Posey’s Washingtonoffice as legislative director and deputy chief of staff and also served for 14 years as a legislative aide to former U.S. Rep. Dave Weldon, R-Indialantic. Burns also worked in the administration of President George H.W. Bush at the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Legislative Affairs.
