Veteran insurance attorney Nate Wesley “Wes” Strickland joins Colodny, Fass Talenfeld, Karlinsky, Abate & Webb as a partner in the Tallahassee office.
Strickland, formerly a partner with Foley & Lardner, will lead the Colodny, Fass Insurance Regulatory practice. He brings to the firm more than two decades of experience with insurance regulatory law and complex corporate transactions.
“It’s no coincidence that our clients are expanding with us — literally into all 50 states,” said managing partner Mike Colodny said. “Wes Strickland’s vast experience and industry relationships provides heavyweight infrastructure to handle our expanding Tallahassee insurance regulatory practice.”
Strickland’s specialty is in a diverse scope of regulatory matters, including financial and market conduct examinations, holding company issues and multi-state regulatory compliance. In addition to providing legal guidance to various specialized businesses subject to regulation such as insurance, he also has strong familiarity with agency regulatory compliance, extended warranties, service contracts and life settlements.
“More capital is currently focused on Florida’s insurance industry than at any other time in recent memory,” Strickland said. “With Florida playing a key role in nationwide insurance regulation, coupled with the expansion opportunities taking place here, I am looking forward to working with the nationally known Colodny firm at the heart of it all.”
