Personnel notes: The legislative aide shuffle; Reps. Ahern, Brandes, McKeel, Vasilinda hire new staffers

We bid goodbye to Caleb Hawkes in Rep. Larry Ahern’s office and welcome Jennifer Ashton as his new legislative aide and Ashley Overend as the district secretary.

Rep. Jamie Grant also has a new district secretary, Mallory Mullen.

Cory Guzzo is the new legislative assistant to Rep. Seth McKeel.

John Rodriguez, the former aide to State Representatives Janet Cruz, Bob Henriquez and Michael Scionti, is moving to Tallahassee to work for Rep. Michelle Rehwinel Vasilinda.

Sarah Shuler is the new attorney and legislative analyst in the House Democratic Office, according to the News Service of Florida. She interned last year in the House Economic Affairs Committee. The 2010 law school graduate of Florida State University also has a master’s degree in agronomy and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. Prior to law school, Sarah worked as a lab technician for the federal and state governments and in the private sector.

Michael Wickersheim, one of the smartest guys I know, is moving over from Jeff Brandes’ re-election campaign to serve as his legislative aide now that Nick Hansen is helping Rick Perry’s presidential campaign.
