Today, St. Pete City Council candidate Darden Rice received the endorsement of Pinellas County Commissioner Janet Long.
“I have worked with Darden for several years and have seen firsthand how well she works effectively with others. She is an exemplary young leader who will help lead our region to accomplish thoughtful, sensible, and reasonable policy for job creation, transportation, and conservation,” said Long.
Continued Long, “I know she has the leadership, preparedness, and vision to lead St. Pete to a better future. Our cities need leaders like Darden now more than ever as we take up serious plans for our transportation future.”
Commissioner Long was elected countywide in 2012. Previously she served in the Florida House of Representatives, District 51, from 2006-2010, and the Seminole City Council, 2002-2006.
