The Pinellas Realtors Organization (PRO) is endorsing Justin Bean in the contest for the District 6 seat on the St. Petersburg City Council.

Bean, a registered Republican, is running against Democrat Gina Driscoll in what is officially a non-partisan race.

“We are excited to recommend Justin Bean as the next City Councilman in District 6,” reads a statement from the PRO. “He is 100% committed to economic development, neighborhood revitalization and creating a St. Pete that works for everyone.”

Continues the release: “He has a tireless focus on using innovative ideas to spur new development, create more affordable housing and help neighborhoods help themselves. Because of this we look forward to working with him on the City Council to make St. Pete a better place for everyone.”

Bean said he was proud to accept the endorsement.

“We share the goal of creating a St. Pete that works for everyone and I look forward to working with them to make that goal a reality,” Bean said.

Bean is expected to appear alongside Driscoll Monday night in a debate sponsored by the League of Women Voters at St. Petersburg’s City Hall. The other four City Council candidates running in District 2 and 4 will also be participating.
