Pinellas Realtors endorse challengers Charlie Justice, Janet Long in County Commission races

Breaking with their usual tradition of endorsing incumbents who ‘have done no harm’, the Pinellas Realtor Organization has endorsed Democratic challengers Charlie Justice and Janet Long for the County Commission. Justice is running against Republican Nancy Bostock, while Long is challenging Republican Neil Brickfield.

In addition to Justice and Long, the Realtors are supporting Ken Welch’s re-election campaign for the County Commission. The decision to support Justice and Long was, according to those involved in the screening process, based on their support of bringing light-rail to Pinellas County, a priority for the Realtors.

In the ultra-competitive race for Sheriff, the Realtors are siding with current Sheriff Bob Gualtieri over former Sheriff Everett Rice. And for the District 7 seat of the School Board, the Realtors are backing Rene Flowers.
