Pinellas School Board candidates to plead for job at Suncoast Tiger Bay

Candidates for Pinellas County School Board will square off Thursday during a political luncheon in downtown St. Petersburg.

The Suncoast Tiger Bay Club is hosting all 11 school board hopefuls at Orange Blossom Catering at 220 4th Street North.

Here is a list of candidates:

District 2 (At-large) – Terry Krasner (incumbent), Chris Tachnitz

District 3 (At-large) – Peggy O’Shea (incumbent), Kent Curtis

District 4 – Beverly Billiris, John Nygren, Ken Peluso

(Incumbent Robin Wikle is not running for re-election)

District 6 – Linda Lerner (incumbent), Maureen Ahern

District 7 – Rene Flowers (incumbent), Irene Olive Cates (write-in)

Guests can register for the luncheon on the Tiger Bay website or by calling 727-822-1001. The cost is $25 for members and $35 for guests.

The election is August 26th for Districts 2, 3, 4 and 6. District 7 will be on the November 4th General Election ballot because a write-in candidate qualified for that race.
