Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark was recently elected to the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections (FSASE) Board of Directors.

Clark was elected by FSASE members in District 7, which comprises Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sumter counties. She was also elected by District 7 members as their representative serving on the FSASE Legislative Committee.

In addition, Clark will serve on the following 2011-2012 committees for the organization: Administrative Rules, vice chair; and Reapportionment Committee, member.

“It is an honor to be selected by my peers to serve on the FSASE Board of Directors,” Clark said. “This will be a busy term with the presidential election cycle and redistricting in full swing.”

The FSASE, composed of the 67 Florida county supervisors of elections, is organized and exists to assist its members to conduct impartial, accurate elections by providing continuing education and certification programs that encourage the highest level of professionalism; to assist the citizens of Florida to become better informed about voting and be prepared to participate in the democratic process; and to create a forum for the supervisors to express their joint opinions on important election issues.
