Describing him as a “great public servant”, the political godfather of North Pinellas and Pasco’s, Mike Fasano, is endorsing Chris Sprowls for State House District 65.
The endorsement isn’t much of a surprise as Sprowls is one of Fasano’s proteges. But isn’t that saying something in and of itself?
Fasano joins Sheriff Bob Gualtieri and State Attorney Bernie McCabe in endorsing Sprowls.
Rep. Fasano released the following letter today to the residents of North Pinellas to announce his support of Chris Sprowls:
Dear Neighbors,
For a decade I served as your State Senator. During that time we have band together to stop huge increases to our homeowners insurance, stop special interest groups from directing the agenda in Tallahassee and provided a voice of reason when there seemed to be none.
To continue these fights we must elect individuals who have a proven record as common sense, compassionate leaders. Today I ask you to join me in supporting my good friend, Chris Sprowls for State Representative. He is one of those leaders.
I have known Chris since he was a young man. He is a lifelong Republican and a great public servant. He has spent the last few years as a prosecutor in the Pasco/Pinellas State Attorney’s Office where he has ensured that those who prey on our most vulnerable citizens are brought to justice. He has garnered the respect of law enforcement officers and the gratitude of our community.
When Chris sees problems arise in our neighborhoods he does not wait on the sidelines to lead, he rises to the challenge. When veterans throughout the country needed legal representation to ensure they got the benefits they deserve- Chris met that challenge by creating a national program to assist them. When establishments that were a danger to children moved next to schools and churches- Chris fought to stop it. And when we needed an individual to crusade against predators- Chris was there to advocate for us in the courtroom.
Now we must call on Chris again by sending him from the courtroom to the capital. In the years to come, our state will face many challenges and we need principled policymakers like Chris in the Florida House of Representatives. I endorse his candidacy for the Florida House without reservation and I encourage you to the same.
He will make us proud!
