Predictions have FSU returning to the college national playoffs

in Sports/Top Headlines by

Florida State is going back to the college football playoffs.

At least, Bleacher Report says it is.

According to the site, FSU and running back Dalvin Cook will play Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl in the first round of the playoffs, which will conclude in Tampa. The other playoff, the website predicts, will be Alabama vs. Michigan.

That’s the biggest matchup, but it’s hardly the only interesting one the website foresees for college football in the state.

For instance, it predicts a Miami vs. Georgia matchup in the Music City Bowl. That would be fascinating, since new UM coach Mark Richt was previously at Georgia.

Florida is predicted to play against Iowa, which was 12-0 in last regular season before losing in the Big 10 title game. The matchup is supposed to be held in the Outback Bowl.

USF is predicted to play against Kentucky of the SEC in the Birmingham Bowl.

No, it isn’t likely to fall that way. But that’s the fun of preseason. You get to guess.
