The Tampa Bay Rays will spend this weekend in a battle for first against the team they’re tied with – the Baltimore Orioles – when they kick off a three-game home stand tonight at 7:10 p.m. at Tropicana Field.

On Saturday, LL Cool J featuring DJ Z-Trip takes over the stadium following a 4:10 p.m. game to kick off the fifth season of the free Rays Summer Concert series.  On Sunday, the Orioles wind up their series in St. Petersburg with a game at 1:40 p.m. Tickets to all three games are available at 888-FAN-RAYS or www.raysbaseball.com.

Fans are encouraged to allow plenty of time to arrive at Tropicana Field, locate parking in one of the 7,000 convenient on-site spaces, and find their seats before the first pitch. If on-site lots fill, parking is also available in more than 100 licensed surface parking lots surrounding the ballpark. The privately-owed and operated lots have applied for permits to provide fans with legal paid parking during Rays games. The lots are clearly marked with signage featuring a capital “P,” lot number and city ordinance number and are the only licensed parking areas for fan parking outside of Tropicana Field but still inside the half-mile radius. More information on parking at or around Tropicana Field is available atwww.stpete.org/baseballparking.

As an alternative, fans may also park along the waterfront and catch the free baseball shuttle, with convenient pickup and drop-off locations at the corner of Central Ave. and 2nd Street S. (under the pedestrian bridge), with drop-off at 16th Street S. just south of 3rd Avenue S.  Shuttles begin service 90 minutes prior to the start of each game and run approximately every 10-15 minutes, ending service one hour after the final inning or post-game concert. Disability accommodations, including vehicles with wheelchair lifts, will be utilized every game.  Additional information, including a route map, can be found at www.stpetetrolley.com/Events.html
