State Rep. David Santiago announced his endorsement of Terri Seefeldt in the upcoming Republican primary for Florida House District 31.
Seefeldt, committee member of the Orange County Republican Executive Committee, seeks to replace term-limited Rep. Bryan Nelson, who after holding the seat for eight years also endorses Seefeldt.
Considered a rising star in the Florida GOP, Santiago represents House District 27, which covers much of Volusia County and the city of Deltona. He serves as vice chair of the Rulemaking Oversight & Repeal Subcommittee and sits on the Finance & Tax, Insurance & Banking and Veteran & Military Affairs Subcommittees.
“As a business woman, conservative activist, and most importantly a mom who has raised a family,” Santiago said, “Terri Seefeldt possesses a skill-set that will be of great benefit for the people of District 31 and the State of Florida. She is the kind of leader we need in Tallahassee.”
“It is an honor to have Representative Santiago’s support,” Seefeldt responded in a statement. “He knows the issues that both businesses and families face in Central Florida.”
House District 31 covers parts of Lake and Orange Counties and includes Eustis, Tavares, Umatilla, Mt. Dora and Apopka. The Republican primary is on August 26.
