Rep. Doug Broxson files for re-election in 2016

Republican Rep. Doug Broxson filed paperwork to run in 2016 for re-election to House District 3.

Earlier this month, Broxson defeated a write-in candidate for the seat covering parts of Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties.

Meanwhile, Port Salerno Democrat Mary Higgins opened a campaign account with the state for another run in House District 82, which includes parts of Palm Beach and Martin counties. Higgins was defeated this month by Tequesta Republican Rep. MaryLynn Magar.
