State Rep. Holly Raschein posted some remarkable fundraising numbers in the third quarter reporting period, adding more than $45,000 to her re-election campaign for the House District 120 seat.

Raschein collected $45,605 in donations, with another $403 in-kind, between July 1 and Sept. 30. That brings her total to $68,233. In comparison, her Democratic opponent, community leader Pamela Gray, raised only $450 for the same period.

In the third quarter, the Key Largo Republican also spent less than $5,000 in expenditures, and her campaign has cost $8,643 to date.

This time around, Raschein has amassed a broad base of support, with 112 donations that include $500 checks from two local Firefighter’s Unions, the Florida Conservative Leadership Fund, Nextera Energy, local farming interests Florida Crystals, Alger Farms Inc. and Fanjul Company, as well as Yahoo Inc.

Raschein also received donations from PACs for the Financial Reform in Government Network and Florida Leadership Fund, each giving $500. Three Walt Disney Company organizations gave a total of $1500.

Tobacco product manufacturer Swedish Match Inc. also gave the Raschein campaign $500.

House District 120 covers Monroe County and the Florida Keys, as well as Florida City, Marathon and Key Largo.
