Rep. Rick Glorioso eyeing race for Hillsborough election supervisor

The election is more than a year away, but the race for the next Hillsborough County elections chief is already heating up.

Several candidates have already filed to run for the open seat in the 2012 elections and state Rep. Rich Glorioso, R-Plant City, said he also might throw his hat in the ring.

“I’m considering it,” said Glorioso, who is termed out after serving eight years in the state House. “I would have preferred to run for Senate, but Ronda Storms has that seat.”
