Republican Party of Florida raises $2,959,746 during first quarter of 2012

The Republican Party of Florida took in $2.95 million for the first three months of 2012.

Blue Cross Blue Shield is, as usual, all over the report.

Universal Orlando Resort made a 179,923 in-kind contribution.

Genting ponied up $100K, but the Seminole Tribe kicked-in $125K.

And…

Florida Democratic Party Spokeswoman Brannon Jordan is not impressed:

“The Republicans fundraising advantage does not translate into electoral success. Despite the financial disparity last year, Democrats won mayoral races across the state, including the GOP stronghold of Jacksonville and in the heart of the state’s I-4 corridor. The bottom line: smart, strategic investments trump fundraising and money can’t buy approval for the GOP’s extreme agenda – just ask Gov. Rick Scott.”
