Rick Boylan, Keith Fitzgerald among latest prominent Democrats to back Allison Tant's bid for FDP chair

Today, several prominent Florida Democrats announced their endorsement of Allison Tant for Florida Democratic Party chair. In their endorsement, these local Democratic leaders pointed to what they describe as Tant’s long record of standing up for Democratic values and her work in helping elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

Rick Boylan, Pinellas County State Committeeman said, “I am excited to stand with Allison Tant for Chair of the Florida Democratic Party because she brings fresh leadership and a commitment to build on the great successes of 2012.”

Keith Fitzgerald, Sarasota County State Committeeman said, “Allison Tant’s leadership, passion and vision is what we need in our next Florida Democratic Party. She will energize our party faithful while focus on building the resources we need to win in 2014 and beyond.”

Judy Mount, Jackson County Democratic Party Chair & State Committeewoman said, “I am proud to support Allison Tant for Florida Democratic Party chair. I have seen Allison at work in North Florida on behalf of Democrats up and down the ballot and her drive and determination to see Democrats succeed is why we need her leading our state party.”

Bill Rettinger, Brevard County State Committeeman said, “There is no question that 2014 is a critical year for Florida Democrats and that is why we need Allison Tant leading the Florida Democratic Party as Chair. From the first conversation I had with Allison I knew that she has what it takes to lead our Party and bring great leadership during an important time.”

Commenting on these endorsements, Tant said, “I am honored to have the support of great Democrats who have worked day in and day out electing Democrats at every level of office. Together, we will continue to achieve great things for the Florida Democratic Party and Democrats across the state.”

Boylan, Fitzgerald, Mount, and Rettinger join a growing list of Democratic party leaders supporting Tant, including Miami-Dade Democratic Party Chair Annette Taddeo-Goldstein and House Democratic Leader Perry Thurston.
