Rick Kriseman kicks off the four-day July Fourth holiday weekend with a round of canvassing Saturday morning, followed by a cookout in downtown St. Petersburg.
The first-term incumbent St. Pete Mayor is running for re-election, facing his main opponent โ former two-term Mayor Rick Baker โ as well as Anthony Cates III, Jesse Nevel, Paul Congemi, Theresa โMomma Teeโ Lassiter and Ernisa Barnwell.
Volunteers will be canvassing neighborhoods earlier Saturday morning, after which they will meet up for a cookout starting noon at the Kriseman for Mayor office, 833 22nd St. South in St. Petersburg.
According to a campaign statement, Kriseman will be on hand to meet supporters and talk about his vision to โmove St. Petersburg forward.โ
