Texas Gov. Rick Perry has signed an anti-gay marriage pledge from the National Organization for Marriage, joining fellow 2012 candidates Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), former Massachusetts governorMitt Romney and former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum. Perry faced some blowback earlier this month when he suggested marriage laws should be left to the states. By signing this pledge, he is vowing to support a federal constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.
