Gov. Rick Scott heads to the Virginia suburbs of D.C. on Friday to attend a meeting of the conservative Council for National Policy, which is sometimes described in media reports as a secretive network of the most powerful conservatives in the nation, reports the News Service of Florida. It isn? so secretive that it doesn? have a website ?the group says on its site that it doesn? lobby politicians, but that its members believe ?n limited government, a strong national defense, and support for traditional western values. They meet to share the best information available on national and world problems, know one another on a personal basis, and collaborate on achieving their shared goals.?]>
